Councilor Edwards Hires East Boston Community Liaison

Boston, MA Feb 22, 2018

Councilor Lydia Edwards, newly inaugurated Boston City Councilor representing Charlestown, East Boston and the North End, announced the hire of Ricardo Patrón to the East Boston Community Liaison position. Patrón will join Edwards Chief of Staff starting March 2018.

Should there be a bit more background on me here? Patrón is transplant from Milwaukee, Wisconsin with a background in bilingual education and pre-trial diversion programs within the criminal justice system.

“We are thrilled to have Ricardo joining the team,” said Gabriela Coletta, Edwards’ chief of staff. “His experience as an immigrant and passion for East Boston will make him a valuable asset to the team.”

“I am honored to have the opportunity to serve the people of East Boston on Councilor Edwards’ staff,” said Patrón. “As a native Spanish speaker I know how important language is in building community relationships. I look forward to fostering those connections with all residents of East Boston. ”
