Legislative Priorities
Good Jobs & Economic Democracy
As a member of the United Auto Workers, I know the power of a union, but I also know that every worker deserves dignity, fair compensation, and freedom from harassment in the workplace. I’ll fight to create more local, good paying jobs and secure funding to train the future of our workforce with the skills they need to succeed.
Education and Youth
As a proud product of public schools, I will always strive to improve our education system so every child reaches their full potential. I’ve led on universal free community college for young adults, secured funding for youth sports, and championed expanding vocational education including access to apprenticeships.
Seniors and Veterans
I was raised by a Veteran who inspired me to join the service. Ending veteran homelessness, funding transitional services, and prioritizing mental health support for PTSD is personal to me. I’ve secured expanded property tax breaks so seniors don’t lose their homes, and will continue to work for more in-home care opportunities and recreational activities.
Women's Rights and Reproductive Freedom
As the daughter of a single mom, and as an attorney standing with low-income women and victims of labor trafficking, I know how important it is to center women in everything government does. As national attacks on reproductive freedom are on the rise, I will ensure that Massachusetts remains a leader in providing the full spectrum of care.
Transportation and Climate Change
I've secured millions of dollars to expand and fix ferry, bus, and train services, reduce traffic, and ensure fare equity. I will continue to find permanent solutions to mitigate the effects of climate change and tackle flooding, erosion, and sea rise to protect our homes, businesses, and open spaces.
